If you have been away from the weightroom for a little while then you know that getting back to the squat rack is about as much fun as getting a prison root canal with Justin Bieber playing over the loudspeaker. XTEND can help. A study published in the International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism put two groups of subjects through seven sets of 20 reps of squats. One group was given a BCAA mixture before training while the other was given a placebo. Both groups experienced peak soreness two days later (you don't need a PhD to prove that) but the level of soreness in the BCAA group was much lower. Even better, the BCAA groups was able to express more force with their on the third day than the placebo group who were still hampered by soreness. This means that using XTEND before and during a tough workout can not only help you circumvent the delayed onset muscle soreness that come with heavy training, it allows you to get back in the gym and train hard again even sooner.
